The Steading sits proudly on the edge of a working farm in the tranquil village of Great Strickland,in the unspoilt Eden Valley,where relaxation is assured.
Stylishly refurbished, its charming character features have been subtly blended with modern amenities to create a luxurious and comfortable home.
The 20 ft lounge with polished oak floor has a feature oak fireplace and log burning stove, perfect for cosy winter evenings. It has exposed beams and shutters at the windows, which overlook the beautiful cottage garden. For your entertainment, there is a television with Freeview and DVD player, a radio/CD player and a selection of books, walking guides, DVDs and games. A range of tourist information and leaflets are also available.
The spacious dining kitchen has an oak panelled wall and beams and is fully fitted with fan assisted oven, halogen hob, fridge and dishwasher. The cupboards are well stocked with utensils to cater for all your self catering needs. In the utility area there is a microwave and washing machine. The barn has oil fired central heating and a useful airing cupboard with plenty of space for drying clothes. A tumble dryer is also provided in the garage. There is a downstairs cloakroom/WC.
On the first floor there ia a modern oak panelled bathroom with a full-sized bath plus a separate shower cubicle, WC & washbasin.
Both upstairs bedrooms have been simply yet tastefully furnished and have ample storage space. A choice of seasonal, hollow-fibre duvets are provided and beds are made up for your arrival. The master bedroom has an oak panelled feature wall, beamed ceilings and skylight with a king size sleigh bed. The second bedroom also has a beamed ceiling and skylight and has a double bed.
Outside there is a private, enclosed rear garden and guests are welcome to pick from the fruit trees, bushes and well stocked herb garden. South facing, it catches the sun all day and has two seating areas with garden furniture and a barbecue.
There is a large garage where a vehicle plus bicycles can be stored plus ample off road parking.
There is a friendly village pub less than 5 minutes walk away which serves a varied menu and local real ales.
